Finding the Home of Your Dreams is Easy with Help from Dynamic Realtor Duo

For more than 40 years, Michael and Nancy Carlisle have helped locals find their dream living space.

A robust housing market is one indicator of a local economy’s strength. And right now, Albuquerque’s real estate market is booming, according to the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors (GAAR).

In the first quarter of 2019, the average sale price for a single-family detached home in the area increased 7.4 percent to $247,368, compared to the same time last year, according to GAAR. Add that to the fact that the inventory of homes for sale is 27 percent less than the same time last year, and you’ll discover that it’s an ideal time to sell a home in the Albuquerque market.

If you’re looking for a new place to call home, put your trust in Nancy and Michael Carlisle, of Century 21 Camco Realty. “In the changing environment of real estate, our goal is to offer our clients old-fashioned kindness, consideration and service,” says Nancy.

For more than 40 years, this husband-and-wife team has helped locals find their dream living space. “The market for homes that are well taken care of is very good,” says Nancy. “Well cared for homes sell quickly.”

Michael recommends that, before selling your house, you should make some cosmetic changes that could entice potential buyers. “It doesn’t have to be expensive,” he explains. “Some new paint, new flooring and change out the fixtures.”

He also suggests homeowners remodel before putting their existing home on the market. This, Michael notes, allows the homeowner to benefit from the upgrades and get some added joy before they move out.

Both Michael and Nancy attended the University of New Mexico. Michael received his GB98 license at age 21, while still attending UNM. He quickly started building new homes and remodeling existing ones.

The couple listens closely to what their customers want in a home so they “don’t waste time showing properties that won’t meet their needs,” says Nancy, adding that she and Michael are in business to help clients realize their dreams as a homeowner.

Daniel and Nancy Fink found their slice of heaven in the Land of Enchantment with the couple’s help. “On a recent move to Albuquerque from South Carolina, we felt fortunate that we had Nancy and Michael to help us find a new home,” the Finks explain. “They worked tirelessly for us and with us to get us into a new home in a timely fashion. They understood what we were looking for in a new home, and showed us only homes they knew would interest us. Once we found our new home, they continued to help us. They arranged for painters, an electrician, a carpenter and landscapers to put some finishing touches on our new home before the movers showed up. We can’t recommend these two enough! Not only are they caring and efficient, but they are fun! That’s a winning combination.”

Jared and Amanda Slade purchased their first home with the Carlisles as their real estate brokers. “While we were initially looking at properties, Michael and Nancy were able to help us make valuable comparisons about each one’s value, current condition, pros and cons of the neighborhood, need for improvements, and potential for resale down the road,” the Slades say. “As a licensed contractor, Michael was able to provide vital information on the cost of needed repairs and potential upgrades. When we selected a property and found out there was already an offer on it, the Carlisles worked quickly and aggressively to help us get the contract. It was evident that they were well respected by the seller’s agent and we’re sure they are by many other agents in Albuquerque.”

The Carlisles dedication to their business is obvious. “Together, we are multi-

million dollar producers as real estate brokers,” says Michael. But that’s not all. While they were building their business, they were also growing a vibrant and thriving family. They have raised six children, all of whom are now successful adults, and they are active with their grandchildren. Also, they’re active members of their church community and avid supporters of UNM athletics.

“As members of the Lobo Club, we have always felt learning continues long after the classroom setting is over,” Nancy says. “Each day is an opportunity to share knowledge and to also learn from others.”
